Grade and milling
Turmeric powder milled in our own unit at Batala, Punjab. Whole turmeric is cleaned and sorted before grinding, then milled fine so the colour disperses evenly through a dish rather than sitting in visible specks.
Colour is what turmeric is judged on commercially, and it is also the property that varies most between suppliers. Ours is milled for a deep, even yellow with the earthy aroma intact rather than cooked off during grinding. Because we mill our own stock instead of repacking someone else, colour and aroma hold from one batch to the next, which matters more to a distributor than any single impressive batch.
Applications and buyers
Retailers and distributors stocking the 50g to 500g range for household buyers, and food service kitchens, caterers and packers taking 1kg packs and 15kg cartons. Used as an everyday colouring and base spice across Indian cooking, and in masala blending where consistent colour strength matters.
Private label packing is available if you sell under your own brand.
